The blue hour, so called by the hour just before darkness - or twilight. I was inspired by that hour to paint this image of the moon just glancing thru the clouds casting its light upon the waters. .

Painted in oils on deep sided box canvas with the sides painted correspondingly and ready to hang without the need of a frame.
