GIGGER'S ISLAND, Poole Bay in Dorset. This island forms part of a number of small islands in this beautiful part of the English southern coastline in Dorset.  Once a valley, this island and a small number of others, are all that have emerged since the ice age.  Gigger's is predominantly a wild bird sanctuary and gulls flock there in their hundreds, hunting and breeding in peace.
Painted in mixed media for the rocks, and smooth brush work for the sky, sea and the birds themselves, to create a 3D type of effect adding depth to the piece with movement and vibrancy - on fine linen.  There are are more 'detail' photos that I can't fit here but please contact me if more are required, without commitment.

Painted in oils and mixed media on a quality fine Belgium linen fabric, hand stretched and using the best quality oil paints.
